Sunderland official: Getafe defender Omar Aldret joins, signs for 4 years

Hupu, August 12th, Sunderland officially signed Getafe defender Omar Aldret. The two sides signed a contract for four years, and the transfer will take effect after international license is approved. .

Paraguay international has transferred from Getafe, with the transfer fee not disclosed, and he signed a four-year contract with the team.

In the four years of playing for Getafe, Aldret made a total of 99 appearances (36 last season).

The 28-year-old started his career in South America and later landed in Europe in 2019. He has played for Basel, Hertha Berlin and Valencia. Aldret was born in the youth training of the Portno Hills of Paraguayan team, and once loaned to Jim Nassia, and then transferred to the Argentine team Hurricanes in 2019. While playing for Hertha Berlin, Aldret was loaned to Valencia and Getafe, and transferred to Getafe permanently in 2023.
