June 9th According to Sky Sports, Elliott talked about his future in an interview.

Liverpool midfielder Elliott said he does not want to "waste his time" in his career and is currently facing a key decision on where he will go. The 22-year-old made only 18 appearances in the Premier League last season, with only two starting.

When asked if he was considering leaving the club he loved, he replied: "I need to discuss this because I am 22 years old now and 23 next season. I don't want to waste my career, you don't know what will happen in the future.

"I need to reflect on and see if I am satisfied with the status quo and how to improve myself because that's the most important thing. I just want to be better and be the best self. If that means changing places, it will be the decision I have to make and I just need to see how things go.

"I don't want to leave Liverpool. I love this club, love the fans and teammates here, and I support them. But most importantly, this is a choice about my career."

Elliott's highlight moment in the season was in the first leg of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain, winning 1-0. After facing huge pressure at Princes Park Stadium, Elliott made a substitute in the 86th minute and scored the winning goal 47 seconds later, helping Liverpool gain an advantage. Elliott thought that moment would ignite his season, so he was a little disappointed with the limited time to play later.

When asked if he was expecting more playing time, he added: "I thought it would be. I thought the game against Paris Saint-Germain was a turning point for me, especially with the Premier League game coming a few days later. I thought it was an opportunity to show off my abilities and get some playing time, but the coach was the decision-maker. He was the reason we won the league because he made those decisions.

"He didn't let me start and I wouldn't complain. After my injury, I think things will always be tough and I hope to get more opportunities, but that's football. ”
