Barcelona Official: Postpone return to Camp Nou, next round of league matches will continue in Montjuic

Football Club Barcelona hereby notifies that the 9th round of La Liga match against Girona will be played at 16:15 on Saturday, October 18 (local time) at the Olympic Stadium in Luis Conpas.

Club continues to work to obtain the administrative permits required to open the Spotify Camp Nou Stadium and maintains ongoing contact with the City of Barcelona to conduct relevant inspections in the coming days.

In this context, although it is expected to receive a first-time entry permit for Phase 1A (Main Stand and South Stand) - which will allow a capacity of up to 27,000 spectators - FC Barcelona aims to return to the Spotify Camp Nou after obtaining the corresponding license for Phase 1B (Main Stand, South Stand and Side Stand) - by which time the capacity will be expanded to 45,000 spectators.

This goal is based on three main reasons:

- The delay in obtaining a license in Phase 1A makes its approval time very close to that in Phase 1B.

-The capacity of the club-renovated Olympic Stadium can generate higher income, thereby making up for the previous lost income at the John Cruyff Stadium.

- More time is available to perform all required operational tests if necessary.

Finally, all members are notified that starting with this game, the stadium capacity management will be carried out through a pass system that will be implemented and maintained until the end of the season. In the coming days, the club will explain in detail the model of the pass.
