US reporter: The Suns coach is about to be finalized, and several candidates surfaced and three finally made it to the end

Earlier, well-known sports journalist Marc Stein reported that the Suns "are expected to narrow the roster of head coaches to about three final candidates this week." Stan mentioned several potential candidates, including Heat assistant Chris Quinn and Mavericks assistant Sean Sweeney.

Marc Stein also pointed out that Cavaliers assistant coach Jordan Ott is still within the Suns' consideration and may have an advantage in the competition due to his alma mater background. Ott is an experienced NBA assistant coach who started his coaching career at Michigan State University, and Suns owner Matt Ishbiya also graduated from the school. This connection "can't be ignored."

Additionally, according to Marc Stein, Timberwolves' Micah Nori and Thunder's Dave Bliss have entered the second round of interviews, while the two are still playing in the Western Conference Finals for their respective teams. Norri has 15 years of experience in coaching, and now is a good opportunity for him to be promoted to the head coach position. By contrast, Bliss has a slightly insufficient coaching experience, but he has helped the Thunder transform into one of the league's recognized top teams this season.

No matter who the final candidate is, the Suns hope to find a long-term and stable coach this time. Over the past decade, the team's head coach candidates have changed frequently and have changed almost every year. Since 2015, the Suns have used seven head coaches and have replaced three players in the past three years. In April, the Suns fired head coach Mike Budenholzer, who has coached the team for only one season.

During this period, Monty Williams was the only coach to coach for more than one full season. As the Suns look for a new coach, they are about to enter a critical offseason.
