Nowitzki: As long as you can stay healthy, the Mavericks can play an excellent season in the West

September 15th News Recently, the Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki was interviewed while participating in a charity fundraising event and talked about his expectations for the Mavericks' new season.

Nowitzki believes that as long as the Mavericks players stay healthy, they can become a competitive team in the West.

"For me, it's all about health," Nowitzki said. "When will Kyrie (Irving) come back? Will he be 100% in form when he comes back? Will AD (Anthony Davis) stay healthy? We know (Derick) Levley (II) has missed some games in the last few years. If they stay healthy, they are a very deep team. They have at least two people per position. They can play in a variety of ways."

"I think there can be a lot of different rosters. (Their) have a strong frontcourt roster. With the height, wingspan and athleticism they have, the defense should be very good. So for me, it's all about health. If they are healthy, they can play a great season in the West."
