NBA draft experts evaluate the favorite pick: The Heat and Suns deserve it

Wu: Kaman Maruac was selected by the Phoenix Suns at the 10th pick. I can’t predict how the Suns will perform next season, but I can say they did a good job of solving some of the problems last season, especially by picking Maruac, who is the giant paint protector type player that Phoenix desperately needs.

It is no exaggeration to say that the Suns' defense last season had no characteristics, and Maruach (along with the newly added Mark Williams) should help change that. He should have performed well in matching the Suns' ball-led perimeter lineup.
