NBA draft experts evaluate the favorite pick: The Heat and Suns deserve it

With the end of this year's NBA Draft, ESPN experts also commented on which pick they think is the best choice in the entire draft! In addition to the well-deserved Flag, it is definitely the best choice, but other teams have also selected the players they want in a relatively low pick!

Givoney: Casparas Jakujonis was selected by the Miami Heat at the 20th pick.

Heat not only got the 10th player on my list, but also got a player who can fill the lineup vacancy and perfectly match the team's culture and style of play. Jakuchonis (6-foot-6, 205 pounds) has excellent ball-handling and organizational skills, which can provide much-needed shot opportunities for the backcourt, and his size is enough to play an important role in star double-seater Taylor Herro.

With Daveen Michel (restricted free agent) doing well in the playoffs, it is indeed possible that the three of them will be in the same squad at some point, thanks to Yakujonis' size, strength and perimeter shooting ability - a versatility in this position is ideal in the modern NBA.

In their draft room and after enjoying Polish buns (an Eastern European staple) on Thursday, Miami Heat management has locked in Russian center Vladi Golding, the No. 2 potential rookie (No. 49) among unsigned free agents on the ESPN Top 100 list. This will further enrich the Heat's growing international player roster in recent years, including Lithuanian and Russian players. The Heat's lineup also includes Sweden's Per Lasson and Serbian's Nikola Jovic.

Wu: Kaman Maruac was selected by the Phoenix Suns at the 10th pick. I can’t predict how the Suns will perform next season, but I can say they did a good job of solving some of the problems last season, especially by picking Maruac, who is the giant paint protector type player that Phoenix desperately needs.

It is no exaggeration to say that the Suns' defense last season had no characteristics, and Maruach (along with the newly added Mark Williams) should help change that. He should have performed well in matching the Suns' ball-led perimeter lineup.

To be honest, Maruac's choice is definitely a good reinforcement for the Suns, and he is likely to be the next dominant player like Embiid.
