On September 5, Spanish basketball club Basquenia officially announced that former NBA dunk king Diallo officially made his debut. Diallo led the Shanxi Men's Basketball Team to set a record in the second regular season last season, and advanced to the semi-finals in the playoffs to tie the team's record. He will leave the CBA and start his La Liga journey in the new season.

27-year-old Diallo is a former NBA slam dunk leader. He won the dunk championship in the 2019 NBA slam dunk contest and has played for teams such as the Thunder, Wizards and Pistons in his NBA career.

Dialo has extremely top physical fitness, especially his amazing jumping ability, excellent athletic ability, and able to defend multiple positions, but his skills are rough and his shooting is not stable enough.

Dialo joined the Shanxi Men's Basketball Team last season and was selected for the CBA All-Star lineup. In the regular season last season, Diallo represented the Shanxi Men's Basketball Team in 41 regular season games, averaging 22.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Entering the playoffs stage, Diallo played 6 playoff games, averaging 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

Although Shanxi Men's Basketball Team used the priority contract renewal rights for foreign players against Diallo, now Diallo has chosen to go to Europe to compete. He officially debuted in the Spanish basketball club Baskenia and will bid farewell to the CBA.
