September 2 TheAthletic reported that Chelsea player Sterling is unwilling to go to the Saudi League or the American League.

Chelsea failed to find the next home for Sterling before closing the window, and the 30-year-old can be sold or loaned this summer. Since he is no longer in the club's plan, he has not trained with the first team coached by Maresca. Although he has been strengthening his physical training to prepare for potential transfer opportunities, there has never been a suitable next player.

Sterling joined Arsenal on loan on the deadline of last year's transfer. He has two years left on his current contract and is the highest-paid player in Chelsea, with a weekly salary of more than 300,000 pounds. Several clubs have asked for him in the past few months, but none of them have made any progress.

Although the transfer windows of all the five major European leagues have been closed, clubs in some other countries can still conduct player trades. For example, the Turkish team's transfer window ended on September 12, while the Saudi Arabia's transfer window closed even later until September 23. However, at present, Sterling is not interested in transfers to Türkiye, Saudi Arabia or the United States.
