Hupu November 03 News Since stepping down as England coach last summer, Southgate has been idle. A few days ago, he said in an interview with the BBC that despite the scandal with Manchester United, he was in no rush to return to coaching.

Southgate said: "I spent a great time in the England team. Obviously, one of the advantages of coaching the England team is that this job carries a higher mission."

"I originally joined the FA with the hope of contributing to the development of English football. Show your strength, especially in the youth training field. Later, by chance, I became the coach of the England adult national team, and our results during that time were quite good."

"I am not eager to stay in football. I have been in football for 37 years. This is incredible in itself."

When asked whether he would consider taking over an important coaching job, Southgate said: "Of course, nothing can be said with certainty. After all, I just saw Martin O'Neill take over the Celtics at this age. Before, this was not my first priority. I enjoy the work related to leadership and working with young people, and I am determined to make some changes in these areas. "So, I am not coaching the team at the moment."
