Refusing to call! Archerby responded to Spaletti: I demand respect, but refusal is not due to the Champions League loss

June 1st Italian coach Spaletti revealed in an interview that Archelby rejected the call for the Italian national team in this issue. Archerby just responded on social media.

Accelby responded:

"After careful consideration, I have informed the national team head coach today that I will not accept the call. This is not a rash decision, because wearing a blue jersey has always been a honor and pride for me. However, I think that in view of recent events, there is no condition for calm to continue this journey. I do not seek excuses or preferential treatment, but I ask for respect. And if this respect is missing from those who are supposed to lead the team, I would rather opt out.

"I am not a person who is tangled with the national team recruitment: I always give everything, but I will not stay where I am no longer really needed, and it is obvious that I am not in the head coach's plan. This is my decision, as I said to the head coach this morning, it is not the final decision, not out of anger, nor is it because of the ‘frustration’ of losing the Champions League final, but simply because of a need to take a step back.

"I wish all the best of the national team and all my teammates: I will continue to cheer them on the court with the same sense of belonging that I always show on the court."
