Post: Newcastle shareholders and PIF representatives go to Isaac s home and convince him to stay

August 26th, The Post reported that Newcastle's co-owner Jamie Ruben and a delegation of PIF went to forward Alexander Isaac's home in an attempt to convince him to stay at the club and return to Eddie Howe's roster.

Ruben and Newcastle director Jacob Solis met with him at his home in Isaac, Northumberland, before his match against Liverpool on Monday night. The club hopes the Swedish striker will return to the training ground and play for the team, after he tried to force the transfer to Liverpool by striking the training. It is understood that if Isaac promises to stay at the club this season, signing a new contract will be part of the discussion.

Isaac, 25, has made clear his desire to leave, but Newcastle cannot meet the potential sale, namely bringing in two strikers and Liverpool makes a record offer. They have not signed any strikers and have rejected the only offer of £110 million from Liverpool.

clubs have been inclined to keep Isaac, and as the transfer window is about to close, they are determined to reintegrate him into Howe's roster. Sources believe the meeting is a step in the right direction.

Newcastle president Yasser Al Rumaiyan attended the match against Liverpool. Although he did not attend the meeting, he fully supports his efforts to get Isaac back to the team as soon as possible.
