On October 14th, Chelsea’s official website released an announcement announcing the signing of two young players for the youth team.
The announcement follows↓
Chelsea Football Club is pleased to confirm that we have added two new players to our U18 squad following the signing of contracts by Riley Ebo and Jashayed Greenwood.
These two new players will join the team coached by Hassan Suleiman. The team made a strong start in the U18 Premier League this season, with four wins and one draw in the first five games and remained unbeaten.
Ebo is a talented right back who joined Chelsea from West Ham United. Although the 16-year-old was still a school student last season, he continued to play for the West Ham U18 echelon and scored his first goal at this level in an away game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Center Greenwood also transferred to Chelsea's U18 echelon from Wolverhampton Wanderers. He already has experience in the U18 Premier League, showing maturity and physical fitness beyond his years and scoring one goal in seven games, while representing England's youth teams at all levels.
There are other new players in the youth academy. Central defender Justin Osagie joined Chelsea’s U21 echelon from Peterborough United. He first entered Callum McFarland's squad and was named as a substitute for the EFL Championship match against Northampton Town.
Welcome Riley, Jascheid and Justin to Chelsea!
