Official announcement! 39-year-old Modric joins AC Milan as a free agent, wearing a No. 14 jersey

On July 15, Serie A giant AC Milan officially announced that Croatian legendary midfielder Modric joined as a free agent, and the two sides signed the contract until 2026, with a one-year option renewal clause.
After following Real Madrid to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, Golden Globe winner Modric officially left the Galaxy Battleship. In his 13 seasons of playing for Real Madrid, Modric made 597 appearances, earned 43 goals, and won the Golden Ball Award in 2018.
In the new season, Italian coach Allegri will coach AC Milan again. Last season, AC Milan only finished 8th in Serie A and missed the European competition in the new season. The official announcement is as follows:
AC Milan is pleased to announce that Luca Modric has signed a contract with the club to be valid until June 30, 2026 and has the option to extend it for one year until June 30, 2027.
Luka Modric will wear the No. 14 jersey of the Red and Blacks.
