Hupu, October 18th: Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano attended the pre-match conference against Nashville on Friday. In an interview with the media, he said that there is no doubt that Messi will win the MLS regular season MVP (Most Valuable Player).

"MVP? I don’t think there’s any doubt, and it goes beyond the data itself. What he shows on the court, his importance within the team, and especially the fact that he can make everyone who watches him enjoy it, that’s Messi’s value."

Messi is one of the leading candidates to win the MLS regular season MVP award, thanks to his 26 goals and 15 assists, both of which rank among the best. In addition, Mascherano mentioned that Messi has played "far fewer games than others." The Argentinian superstar has missed six MLS games, most of them due to injuries or changes made by coaches to rest him, and one due to suspension due to not attending the All-Star Game.

Inter Miami is currently third in the Eastern Conference, and a win or a draw away from home will give them a chance to move up to second place. Therefore, Mascherano emphasized that "this is an important game for everyone" and can help his players enter the playoffs in the best condition. However, he did not reveal whether Messi and DePaul would play in this game: "Today they will complete all training content. Although they played on Tuesday, this is not a huge international match day, and there will be no long-distance travel in the middle. Let's see what happens."
