Jinhua was approved as a national pilot reform for youth football talent training

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the list of national pilot areas for youth football talent training reform (second batch) and Jinhua City was successfully selected. This marks the integration of the youth football cause in Jinhua City into the national strategic layout and will provide a pioneering demonstration model for the development of campus football.

Jinhua has comprehensive advantages in campus football, event system, policy guarantees, etc. At present, the city has 149 national football specialty schools, 219 campus football specialty schools at or above the provincial level, and more than 1,560 campus football teams. In terms of building the event system, Jinhua has carefully built a multi-level event matrix such as the four-level leagues in the city and county school class, the spring and autumn leagues, and the cross-regional invitational competitions, with more than 100,000 students participating in the leagues at all levels each year. In addition, Jinhua actively explores and innovates, opens up the channels for students with football talents in junior high school and students with special talents in high school, and trains a group of outstanding football players such as Zhu Hongwei, Bao Shengxin, and Li Ting. In the past three years, Jinhua has successively won excellent results in the primary school men's group A, junior high school men's group and high school men's group in the Zhejiang Provincial Primary and Secondary School Campus Football League.

At the same time, several provincial campus football base schools in Jinhua No. 5 Middle School and Jinhua No. 9 Middle School have successively issued announcements on the recruitment of football seedlings in 2025, informing the society about enrollment plans, registration conditions, registration time and methods, admission methods, and enrollment work supervision. The relevant schools basically completed the candidate's academic test before May 17, which mainly includes three items: one is the physical fitness test. Ordinary players run back 5-25 meters, and the goalkeeper tests a three-level long jump; the second is the basic skills test. Ordinary players tests a ball, dribble around the club and shoot, pass the ball at a fixed point, and the goalkeeper tests a ball to catch the ball, throw the ball with his hands and throws the ball far away, and kicks far away; the third is the game ability assessment, and inspects the performance of the on-site actual combat competition.

In April 2024, the Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education announced the list of pilot areas and campus football base schools for deepening campus football reform. Jinhua has 8 pilot areas for deepening campus football reform, including Jinhua City, Wucheng District, Jindong District, Dongyang City, Yongkang City, Yiwu City, Pujiang County, and Jinhua Development Zone, and 24 campus football base schools including Tangxi Middle School, Aiqing Middle School, Jinhua No. 8 Middle School, Jinhua Foreign Language Experimental School, Jinhua No. 9 Middle School, Jinhua Experimental Middle School, Jinhua No. 15 Middle School, and Jinhua Shuangxi Experimental School. All pilot areas and campus football base schools have improved the pilot work plan around key tasks such as surface expansion and quality improvement, talent selection and education, integration of sports and education, scientific training, and digital empowerment, actively explore campus football development models suitable for promotion, and accelerate the improvement of campus football level.
