According to Sky Sports, Brighton is very satisfied with Sansatsu's performance in recent years and is interested in negotiating a new contract with him. Currently, Sansatsu's existing contract with the team will last until 2027.
Previously, Saudi professional league team Riyadh won the offer to Brighton in an attempt to introduce the Japanese international, but was rejected. In addition, Bayern Munich also showed strong interest in Sansatsu and regarded it as one of the key signing targets in the left wing position this summer.
In the past three seasons, Santa Kan has made 108 appearances for Brighton in various competitions and contributed 24 goals. Among them, he performed particularly well in the 2024/25 season, playing 35 times in the Premier League, scoring 10 goals and sending 3 assists.
Since joining the Japanese J League team Kawasaki forward with a transfer fee of only 2.7 million pounds in 2021, Misaki Kaoru has quickly grown into an indispensable core player in Brighton's frontcourt. He is firmly in the main position whether under the former coach or the current coach Fabian Hezele.
Brighton current coach Hezeler said in an interview with Sky Sports: "We have always tried to retain the best players in the team. Sanzai performed well last season, but this cannot be separated from the support and cooperation of the whole team. The most important thing is that the players themselves are also very clear about this, and Sanzai is the one who understands this best."
Hezeler also expressed that he is looking forward to reunion with Sanzai Xun next week to prepare for the pre-season preparations before the new season.
