Henderson: We performed well most of the time and deserved to score three points

Hupu 0999 September 27th, Brentford beat Manchester United 3-1. After the game, Brentford midfielder Jordan Henderson was interviewed by TNT Sports.
How do you feel now?
I enjoy my current state. Really, I am full of gratitude and am extremely excited about being able to return to the Premier League. This has always inspired me and is why I chose to come here. It feels great to be able to return to the highest level of leagues and compete with the world's top players every week in such an atmosphere. So, I just wanted to enjoy this time as much as possible and today was a really great day for us.
You lost points while leading many times this season. After getting a fantasy start again, you finally successfully won the game. What is this feeling?
I think it's important, especially at a moment like when we were awarded a penalty, but Kellech made a great save. After that, we finally scored the third goal and locked in the victory, and that feeling was really good. These three points are crucial to us and to be honest, I think we deserved this win for most of the game and we played very well.
Can you talk to us more about the leader role you have in the locker room since you joined? Especially when working with an inexperienced coach.
Well, I'm still the same thing, I just tried to be myself. I mean, as you get older and have more experience, there will always be people talking about leadership with you, but do you know, just be yourself, which is what I have always done. On the training ground, I will keep my authenticity and do my best to train well; first of all, I must do my job well on the court, which is what I am trying to do. Everything else is natural, I just want to do my best to help the young guys on the team because you are right, it is really a young team. Will the World Cup make you more motivated? Has this been in your mind all the time?
Well, I think this is always in my mind when I make a decision in the summer - like when I decided to come here. But in the final analysis, I want to return to the Premier League and regain the excitement of enjoying football. It would be great to have such an opportunity. Of course, I also know that if I can perform well in the Premier League, the highest level of the Premier League, then I obviously hope to be selected for the England national team and fight to win the World Cup.
Jordan, what is this experience of leaving the Premier League and going to other leagues? Are you happy to return to the Premier League?
I am very happy to be back, but at the same time, I do feel that I have learned a lot in the years I left. Those days were not easy at times, and I have to admit it. But there are also some moments that I enjoyed very much, and I have indeed gained growth. I am really grateful for those years when I was wandering around. And there are many good memories, especially in Ajax last season. Our team had a great season. The new head coach was very outstanding. His coaching style and tactical arrangement really made me regain my love for football. I really thank him for making us fall in love with playing football again.
How are you working with Keith Andrews now? He said before the game that he hopes players can express their ideas boldly, provide advice on game plans, and emphasize teamwork. What do you think of this coaching method?
is quite different. I am actually not used to this method, but I can see the positive aspects of it. And you know, the club has achieved amazing results in the past few years, they sold some players and introduced new players, and there have been many changes this summer - the players and staff have adjusted. But they are not unreasonable people. They are very clear about what they are doing, and they are all very sincere and kind people. When I met the head coach and club directors, I could truly feel that they cared about the team, the club, and the players from the bottom of their hearts. This is also an important reason why I chose to come here.
After you came here, did your throwing (outbound ball) ability improve? Have you made any progress after coming here?
My throw, I haven't cast it yet. I won't touch this anymore, just let Michael take charge.
But there are so many players in the team who treat this skill as a "weapon", and now it has indeed become a killer move for your team.
Yes, it is indeed. Then why not? This is really a powerful weapon. But to be honest, it's not just our team, I see that some top teams are also using long passes outside the boundary. So, if this can create chaos and create opportunities for us, why not do it?
Do you also like living in London? How are your family living here?
Family? No, I'm still running back and forth. I'm in London, but central London is too busy for me, so I live in the suburbs, closer to the countryside. I like a quiet, peaceful environment, when Crouch plays football (and probably likes it here too). But overall it's very comfortable, really good.
