South Korean striker Son Heung-min will bid farewell to Tottenham Hotspur this summer and move to the Major League Soccer (MLS) to continue his football career.

According to well-known transfer reporter Fabricio Romano, Son Heung-min has decided to leave Tottenham Hotspur, who has played for ten years, and is negotiating with the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC). The South Korean star expressed his desire to leave the team when the summer transfer window opened, and rejected an invitation from Saudi Arabia and chose to go to MLS to develop.

The Los Angeles FC is expected to pay Tottenham a transfer fee of approximately 15 million to 20 million euros for the introduction of Son Heung-min, a figure lower than Tottenham's valuation.

Los Angeles FC regards Son Heung-min as a key figure in improving the team's offensive strength and league status. The club believes that Son Heung-min can not only bring professional improvements with his influence, especially in the Korean community in Los Angeles, but also create additional value in business. Los Angeles FC Chairman John Sollington once said: "We are building a team with global influence, and Son Heung-min is undoubtedly an ideal candidate with his experience and level."

Son Heung-min spent a brilliant decade at Tottenham Hotspur, contributing 173 goals in 454 games. He led the team to the UEFA Cup as captain, bringing a successful end to his career in North London.
