Dutch coach Koeman: Tenghager s get out of class is dismissed too quickly, this is not normal

Hupu September 2nd Eric Tenghager was suddenly removed from his position as head coach of Leverkusen. His Dutch colleague and head coach of the Dutch national team commented on this.

Ronald Koeman said: "This decision came too quickly and too intense. It's not normal. I don't have much contact with him, and it's not the best time to contact him." The national team coach also added: "In my opinion, as a club, you have ideas about the choice of coaches. This is exactly what's special about the whole thing. Being a coach is a tough job."

Koeman and Tenhager have coached teams such as Ajax and Eindhoven, but they have not cooperated and have not taken over directly.

Tenhager just took over Leverkusen this summer. After taking over at the end of May, the former Manchester United manager declared: "I'm ready for the challenge." He added: "The players, the game philosophy, and the way the fans celebrate with us - it's really a common project, which lays a good foundation for further development."

But instead of making any progress, the project failed. Leverkusen General Manager Simon Rollfies said of the decision to part ways with Tenhager: "We sat down last week and weekend to discuss it. Regardless of the result, we just felt that things were going in the wrong direction. In order to avoid going astray, we decided to make a decision as early as possible during the international match day."
