Borussia Mönchengladbach: Coach Sevane is dismissed; U23 coach Polansky takes over temporarily

Hupu September 15th, Bundesliga Borussia Mönchengladbach Club announced that it will terminate its cooperative relationship with head coach Gerald Sevane from now on. Current U23 coach Eugen Polanski will temporarily take over the first team.
Sports General Manager Roland Fircus said: "After an in-depth analysis of the start of the season, we have concluded that changes must be made in the head coach position. We have been unable to win the Bundesliga in ten consecutive games across the season, and we no longer believe that the team can complete the transformation under the leadership of Sevane."
Club Chairman Reiner Bonhof added: "Sevane took over the team in difficult times. He agreed with the club's development path, promoted the team's growth and brought some stability. But the end of last season and the start of the new season did not meet expectations. Therefore, injecting new momentum at this time is the right choice. We thank Sevane for his efforts and wish him all the best in the future."
