Atlanta official: Montenegro striker Kelstovic joins, transfer fee of 25 million euros

Hupu, August 21, Atlanta officially announced that Nikola Kelstovic became the sixth player signed by Atlanta in this summer transfer window.

Atlanta obtained his registration rights from Lecce. The Montenegro striker, born in 2000, chose the No. 90 jersey. He has played in Serie A for two years and has made important contributions to Lecce's relegation last season, contributing 11 goals and 5 assists, exceeding half of the total goals scored by Lecce.

He also participated in 14 European club games, including 3 Champions League qualifiers and 1 Europa League qualifiers, and also scored 5 goals in 8 Europa League qualifiers. His personal honors include two top scorers, one in Montenegro and the other in Slovakia.

He played 27 times for the Montenegro national team, scored 6 goals (and 2 assists), and made his debut against Greece on March 28, 2022.

At the end of the summer of 2023, he arrived in Italy and joined Lecce. He made his first appearance in Serie A, scoring three goals against Fiorentina, Sarenitana and Monza in his first three league games. That season, he was named Montenegro Footballer of the Year.

On January 11, 2025, he scored twice for the first time in the away game against Empoli, winning the team's first victory in the Serie A. In his two-year career in Salento, he has scored 20 goals and contributed 7 assists in 75 games.
