Wenban helper +1! The Spurs send two young players to get Olynik from the Wizards

On July 9, 2025, according to Shams, the Spurs and the Wizards reached a deal.
The Spurs sent Branham, Wesley and the second round pick in 2026, and exchanged Olynick from the Wizards. This second round pick is the worst among the Mavericks, 76ers and Thunder.
Olynik's contract is only one year left, worth $13.5 million; in a previous deal, he was just traded by the Pelicans to the Wizards together with CJ McCollum.
The Spurs completed two reinforcements in the inside position this year. They signed Connet first, and now they have traded Olynik, and there are two in-combat helpers around Wenban.
2024-25 season, Olynick averaged 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
