33-year-old Harrison Barnes is much older than the Spurs' young core player and he hopes to stay with the team in the next few years.

33-year-old Harrison Barnes looks a little older than most young core players of the San Antonio Spurs.

"Chris and we are like our peers," Barnes joked about Chris Paul, who is 40 years old on the last day of the season.

Barnes is considered to be in terms of the level of a future Hall of Fame player, which is an honor for the Spurs experienced striker. Barnes' two NBA Finals, including winning the championship ring with the Golden State Warriors and leading the Kings to break a long playoff drought, all of which show that he is a veteran who has a positive impact on the team.

He undoubtedly had a positive impact on San Antonio, as San Antonio's oldest return player last season was only 25 years old. Barnes has a deep understanding of this.

"I think once you reach 30, you may no longer be the core player of the team. I will definitely go all out to prepare because I know you can't play forever."

No matter what the definition is, Barnes does not hide his opinion of the Spurs.

Harrison Barnes is only 21 years old when he is looking for his position in the Spurs. Stephen Castle is 20 years old. They have two lotto signs this summer. While Barnes' performance helped the Spurs win 12 more games than last season, his professionalism and hard work - he played all 82 games - was perhaps the more important factor.

"In my opinion, Chris and I have talked about it a lot, and the key is how to continue playing well while giving back to the next generation," Barnes continued. "I think when you were young, you were always worried about what the core players looked like, or how great my potential, and so on, but when you get older, you realize that you have reached the last nine seasons. You don't know how many more seasons you can play, and you don't know how many opportunities you have to play."

Barnes' shooting percentage this season reached a career-high 51%, of which three-point shooting percentage reached a personal high of 43%, and averaged nearly 12.5 points per game. Despite this, he was not troubled by the future.

"For me, I always want to do my best, whether it's for young players, or for myself, whatever," Barnes said. "So unfortunately, I don't have time to think about whether I'm still a member of the team."

Barnes' contract is still one year away. Reports about the Spurs' intention to bring in some well-known stars this summer may affect his contract. In any case, the player who owns the championship ring and has made six playoffs (including one playoff) has highly praised the young players San Antonio has created.

"The future is bright. This young team is one of the most talented teams I have ever played for, and I have played for some very good teams," Barnes said. "Now, I hope I haven't retired when the talent of these players is fully utilized. But for Spurs fans, the future is very bright, so they should be excited."
