On July 24, according to famous reporter Shams, the Suns officially claimed Jordan Goodwin. Previously, the Lakers cut Goodwin to free up a roster spot for Smart. And for the Suns' backcourt, he is a tenacious and potential supplement.

Salary expert Marks said Goodwin had signed a $2.3 million contract with the Lakers, but only $25,000 was guaranteed. If it is not laid off before January 7 next year, the remaining part will be fully covered. Obviously, this is a risk-free and great value contract. For the Lakers, the $25,000 will be removed from the salary book.

Previously reported that Goodwin became a key rotation player for Reddick at the end of last season, playing 29 games and participating in 4 playoffs. The Lakers cut Goodwin and Milton in a row to make room for new aid Marcus Smart. Cut off Goodwin and Milton, allowing the Lakers to sign Smart with a biennial exception (2 years and 11 million).

Goodwin averaged 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game in the regular season last season, and 0.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game in the playoffs. For Goodwin, the Suns are also a familiar team. He played 40 games with the Suns in the 2023-24 season, when he averaged 5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

After claiming Goodwin, the Suns' lineup becomes 14+3, with 14 regular lineups, 3 two-way contracts -

14 regular lineups: Booker, Jaylen Green, Dillon, Grayson Allen, Reus O'Neal, Mark Williams, Maruach, Richards, Ryan Dunn, Gillespie, Hayes Davis, Iguodaro, Fleming, Goodwin
