Reorganization is underway, and the Trail Blazers parted ways with three coaches from Billups coaching team

The Trail Blazers are undergoing a restructuring. The Portland Trail Blazers recently ended their 2024-25 season and they performed slightly higher than expected, although they still failed to earn a playoff spot in the high-profile Western Conference. The team renewed their contract with head coach Chauncey Billups at the end of the season, demonstrating their commitment to the current coaching team.

However, the same tolerance will not benefit all members of the Trail Blazers coaching team, because according to The Oregonian/Oregon Live Aaron Fentres, there have been recent reports that the team will not recall assistant coaches Roy Rodgers, Chris Fleming and Ryan Gomez.

In the past few seasons, Rodgers has been the main force in the Blazers' defense, Fleming is responsible for coordinating the offense, and Gomez serves as the player development coach.

Fleming also reportedly worked closely with defender Scott Henderson, who improved in his second season in the NBA. The future of Portland is full of hope, with some impressive young players in the Trail Blazers roster, including Toumani Kamala, who has become one of the top young outside defense in the NBA.

Sheden Sharp, who is only 21 years old, is also a potential cornerstone of the future development of the Trail Blazers. He showed top shooting ability and world-class athletic talent in the first few seasons of the Trail Blazers.

Of course, the team still retains former second-tier Scott Henderson, whose NBA career started less than many people expected, but he is still a talented and potential core of the organization. In addition, there is the 2024 lottery pick Donovan Klingen, who contributed a lot to the Trail Blazers in his first season in the NBA.

Overall, there is no player in the Trail Blazers who can be at the heart of the team's future development (although if everything goes well in the upcoming NBA draft draw, they may get one). However, they do have a engaging group of young talented players, and now, they will obviously restructure the coaching team to help them grow. The

Trail Blazers will now look forward to a draft draw scheduled for May 12.
