Andrew Nembhard believes the Pacers lead the Oklahoma City Thunder 2-1 in the NBA Finals and says the focus remains on Game 4.

As the Indiana Pacers continue to hit the team's first NBA championship in history, guard Andrew Nembhard is focusing on the task ahead.

NBA Finals’ third game, after the Pacers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 116-107 and took a 2-1 lead in the series, Nemhard appeared on SiriusXM NBA radio along with Frank Isola and Brian Scalabine. The 25-year-old gave a clear answer when asked if he had already begun to imagine himself and the Pacers holding up the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

"To be honest, I think it's a little too fast," Nemhard said. "We talked about how many days this series will be - now it seems like eight of 18 games. We are only focusing on the next game and can't lead too much. I think we're doing a great job in that. I haven't thought about that much. I'm just thinking about what to do next."

Andrew Nemhard stayed focused, and the Pacers led the Thunder 2-1, advanced to the NBA Finals

Nemhard played 33 minutes in Game 3, scored 8 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in Game 3. Although his scoring ability is not high, his stable defense and steady decision-making ability, along with Tyres Halliburton, helped Indiana stabilize the backcourt. In the first three games of the finals, Nemhard averaged 32.7 minutes per game, scoring 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1 steal, shooting percentage of 45.8% and three-point shooting percentage of 33.3%.

The former Gonzaga star is now in his second season in the NBA and holds a key position in Rick Carlisle's rotation. Nemhard's ability to defend multiple positions and compete in the second offensive organization is crucial for Indiana's playoff journey, especially when facing a team like Oklahoma City with a strong offensive firepower. The Pacers are currently only two games away from the NBA championship. They will strive to continue their momentum and face the Thunder at 8:30 pm ET for their fourth game at home on ABC TV. Game 5 of the series will be moved to Oklahoma City on Monday.
