The Boston Celtics are in a difficult situation after trailing the New York Knicks 0-2 in the second round. Grant Williams shared his thoughts on the two Celtic superstars.

No one expected that such a thing would happen. The defending champion lost two straight games in the playoffs to a team that has never been successful in the playoffs since 2013. Jaylen Brunson and the Knicks' strong performance in the fourth quarter was impressive, dwarfing the Celtics.

After trailing 0-2, Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown are preparing for the third game at Madison Square Garden, and they are under tremendous pressure. Former Boston Celtics player Grant Williams supports his former teammate.

"Even if they are no longer here now, this C's remarks are too exaggerated. Everyone has the right to speak out, but JT and JB are superstars. They can play bad games at times, but we've all seen them rise up. Don't let what happened recently blind you and ignore what they've accomplished."

Williams didn't win the championship with the Celtics last season, but he was involved in the 2022 journey and lost to the Heat in the seventh game of the Eastern Conference Finals a year later. Before the start of last season, Williams signed with the Dallas Mavericks and was later traded to the Charlotte Hornets.

Williams was a valuable player during his tenure with the Celtics and hopes to help the Hornets turn the trend. Charlotte Hornets head coach Charles Lee served as assistant coach for the Celtics for one season after joining the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Celtics performed far better than TD Garden Stadium this season. The Celtics have a 33-8 away record, and many believe they can win at least one game in New York with their away victory.

The Celtics last won the series while trailing 0-2 in 2017, when Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford led the Celtics to win the Chicago Bulls all six games.
