Funny, after the Timberwolves defeated the Warriors in G2, Randall taunts Conley: He is 50 years old, and he still tries his best

After the Timberwolves' second game against the Warriors, Julius Randall teased Mike Conley as old as dirt (to NBA standards).

Since joining the trade in 2023, Mike Conley has contributed tremendous strength to the Minnesota Timberwolves on and off the court. When Conley was on the court, the Timberwolves had a winning rate of 63.7%. Even though the veteran point guard is 37 years old, he is still an efficient player on the team, although his numbers, especially in the second game of the second round of the Golden State Warriors, were not particularly eye-catching.

In the second game, Conley played only 17 minutes, with mediocre data, only 6 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. But he set the tone for the Timberwolves, helping the team get a great start in the first quarter and ultimately locked in the victory. Although Conley is old as dirt by NBA standards, Julius Randall still appreciates his contribution.

"At 50, I can stand up and defend like [Mike Conley] and try my best...I've been talking about how he led our team all year and how he kept us balanced," Randall said in a post-match press conference via the official ClutchPoints account on Channel X (formerly Twitter).

Conley is no longer at his peak. His form has declined and his defensive end is easier to exploit than ever before. But he is a creator of team culture and provides the Timberwolves with stable power in adversity every night.

Julius Randall pays tribute to Timberwolves veterans

Julius Randall's life with the Timberwolves was a pleasant one; he thanks head coach Chris Finch for his harsh care and for his emotional support in the game.

"Conley, Joe Ingles, the contributions of these people are not necessarily reflected in the statistics table, nor are they always reflected in the data, and that kind of thing. But as a veteran, the importance of his to our team is that he can pull me to the side, and when I am frustrated, Joe can pull me to the side, keep me calm, keep me venting my frustration, and keep me calm, and keep me calm, and keep me focused," Randall added.

"These people are crucial to our team, and a lot of what they do is ignored. After playing behind closed doors, on the bench, on the plane, these people are crucial to us."
