Dalius Myers: My remarks at that time were not to criticize James, but to protect him

Recently, former NBA player Dalius Myers reviewed his famous remarks about LeBron James when he participated in the podcast program "All the Somke".

In 2003, Miles played for the Cavaliers. When talking about the Cavaliers' possible selection of phenomenal high school student LeBron James (the regular season was not over yet, there was no draft draw), he said: "I don't think you can turn the team's strength by introducing a high school student. If he comes, he can join us. I hope we can achieve a big career."

In response, Miles explained on the show: "I'm not hacking him, but I'm defending LeBron. To be honest, there has never been a guy like that, especially those who have just been drafted from high school. Never have a high school student with such great expectations, you hand over the team to him and you can turn the world right away. What I see is that we are being beaten up every day, when we won only 17 games in 82 games in the regular season.

I know LeBron very well, and LeBron would come to my house before, and that year I shared a Thanksgiving dinner with LeBron. I got along with LeBron, and he was my brother. His locker was specially arranged next to me because we had a personal relationship. As a reminder, that interview happened the season before he came to the team, so if he felt like I was saying those words were hacking him, our relationship wouldn't be so close. But as I said, I'm a country kid who hasn't received proper media skills training, so there are some things you might not sound like I do."
