A false alarm! Doncic is allowed to return to play in the British team. He has previously withdrew from the game due to a knee contusion

On August 19, Lakers star Luca Doncic was allowed to return to the field after experiencing an injury scare on the weekend.

Previously, Doncic limped away from the stadium in a warm-up match between Slovenia and Latvia, but he will play in the next warm-up match against the UK. The Slovenian Basketball Federation has confirmed Doncic's participation status.

Doncic has suffered injuries during his career, and physical fitness problems are part of the reason why the Mavericks unexpectedly traded the star to the Lakers in February this year. During the offseason, Doncic made great efforts to improve his physical condition, including representing Slovenia in the European Championship this summer.

In the match against Latvia, a teammate hit Doncic's leg, causing him to fall to the ground. Doncic signaled to be substituted and then limped towards the locker room. After the game, it was confirmed that he was mild and was diagnosed with a knee contusion.

After losing weight, Doncic performed well in the European Championship warm-up match, scoring 19 points against Germany and scoring 26 points in the first half before being injured against Latvia.

Doncic's return to the arena should give Lakers fans a sigh of relief. They certainly don't want to see the team's future core suffer serious injuries in a warm-up game. The five-week European Championship will officially start on August 27. Slovenia will be divided into Group C, with Iceland, France, Poland, Belgium and Israel in the same group. Slovenia's first game was against Poland.
