Hupu reported on November 11 that according to the English media BBC reporter Kinsella, Chelsea defender Chalobah will be selected for the England team to replace Crystal Palace defender Mark Guey who retired due to injury.

The BBC stated that the 26-year-old Chelsea defender is expected to participate in the final match of the World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia with the team. Although the official has not officially announced this adjustment, it is expected to be officially replaced after Guey's injury is confirmed.

The Three Lions have secured qualification for next summer's World Cup. Chalobah was called up by England coach Thomas Tuchel for the first time in May and made his international debut against Senegal. During the September international match, Tuchel admitted that it was a pity not to include Chalobah in the squad for the games against Andorra and Serbia, and he was not called up during the October international match.

Tuchel plays an important role in Chalobah's career - it is he who gave the youth training player the chance to make his Chelsea first-team debut in 2021. Chalobah has participated in all Blues competitions except for four games this season, helping the team temporarily rank third in the Premier League, while also reaching the quarter-finals of the League Cup and advancing to the Champions League stage.

Guey suffered a foot injury during Crystal Palace's win over AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League last week. It is reported that the Three Lions will also make other personnel adjustments. Newcastle coach Eddie Howe has confirmed that winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (concussion) will withdraw from the current roster. Their locations have not yet been determined.
